Hi Igor, I downloaded the v2,1 , but cannot attach it to a chart. I see the indicator in my Navigator panel, however when I drag it across onto a chart nothing happens.

    Is there a problem?

    Regards Bert

    Hi Bertfx,

    Which indicator?

    - AdaptiveParabolic_v2.1 indicator is on this post. This version works with Metatrader 4 build 600 and above.
    - AdaptiveParabolic Histo_v2.1 indicator is on this post. This version works with Metatrader 4 build 600 and above.

Because I can attach both indicators to the chart:

Both indicators are not using any other indicators.

    - Did you install them as a indicator? I mean in MT4: File - Open Data Folder - MQL4 - indicators
    - Did you compile them in MetaEditor (or restart MT4, or click 'Refresh' by mouse on 'Indicators' in Navigator window)?

I have re-read the Dennis Meyers article again. His contribution to pSAR appears to be the parabxo (parabolic cross-over), or more precisely a 4th input parameter which he calls the xo_inc or cross-over increment. This parameter is intended to eliminate some of the noise when price crosses the pSAR line and reverses.

Do any of the input parameters in the advanced parabolic indicators on this thread equate to xo_inc? For example the filter parameter?

    thanks

    Hi pakeha,

Yes, the Filter parameter(in pips) prevents a whipsaw loss.

    Igor
