    A report released by the National Association of Realtors on Thursday showed pending home sales in the U.S. plummeted by much more than expected in the month of April. NAR said its pending home sales plunged by 3.9 percent to 99.3 in April after tumbling by 1.6 percent to a revised 103.3 in March.

    Consumer prices in New Zealand jumped to a 30-year high of 6.9 percent on year in the first quarter of 2022, Statistics New Zealand said on Thursday. On a seasonally adjusted quarterly basis, consumer prices climbed 1.8 percent - again beneath expectations for an increase of 2.0 percent and up from 1.4 percent in the three months prior.

    Eurozone industrial production rose more than expected in February after falling in the previous month, data from Eurostat showed on Wednesday. Industrial output rose 0.7 percent month-on-month in February, reversing a 0.7 percent decrease in January, which was revised from a no change reading. Economists had forecast a monthly growth of 0.2 percent.
