    You know ... when you are driving to the road by your vehicle so you may see the river ... and you are crossing the river using the bridge ... so if someone crossed the bridge/river so this person is going to the other side of the river by road, right?
    So, the bridge is Ichimoku signal.

    I mean: you will get the signals on every significant price movement (incl the future possible movement).

    And as Ichimoku signals (there are 6 signals) are working in combination of the signals too so there are many many possible signals' combination - so, this Ichimoku indicator is becoming the trading system (one indicator = trading system).

    Some people prefer to use Ichimoku for echnical analysis only (on high timeframes), some other traders are using Ichimoku for trading on small timeframes (but wioth different settings).

    NewDigital.....Thanks for the analysis and explanation.

    I usually trade the DAX on the 5mins timeframe. Trading the DAX on the Daily timeframe isn't advisable for a Day Trader as it's extremely volatile and could wipe out an account in seconds...Lol

    I love trading the DAX market open at 8am UK time and the 5mins chart could easily move against the Daily trend by 50 to 100points within minutes. God help your account if you don't get the direction right....Lol

    As a DAX trader, I'm always looking for brilliant indicators that would predict the move before 8am. So far, a few have failed to predict it correctly but two out of the ones I've tried tested OK.

    I haven't tried Ichimoku but will do next week....as it's Saturday tomorrow. I'd be very happy if the forecast is RIGHT. I will keep an eye on the FAST signals as I don't think the slow ones would be able to cope with the DAX

    By the way, the settings of Ichimoku indicator is default one (9/26/52) for timeframe started with H1 for example, for lower timeframe - 72/144/288.

    This is Dax M5 with Ichimoku default settings:

    I am having the thread in premium section namely Indicators and templates to evaluate the market condition where I am placing this template and some other systems which I am using for technical analysis (I am not uploading it here on this thread because I've already confused about which indicators are the public ones and which one is for premium ...).

    By the way, we are on this system thread now (Tenkan Kijun Senkou Span Trading system), and this system is example about fast signals (kijun/tenkan crossing) - just look at the first post of the thread.

    There are 3 templates on the thread. This is the template/indicators from the first post of the thread:

    • white line is the virtual border between the bearish (downtrend) and bullish (uptrend) market condition on the chart (buy signals are valid if those signals are above this line, sell signals are valid if those signals are below this line);
    • red line is Tenkan line;
    • blue line is Kijun line;
    • red line is crossing with blue line to below = signal for sell; opposite for buy signal.

    But this template (see previous post and the first post of the thread) is related to default Ichimoku settings (9/26/52) - for high timeframes. If you change Ichimoku settings on this template for 72/144/288 so you will get the chart similar with the following:

    By the way, according to 72/144/288 settings (previous post with two charts) - there is no sell signal: red line crossed with blue line for buy trade, but this buy signal is located in "sell zone" (below white line) so this buy signal is not valid.

    NewDigital....As you can see, the DAX is a fantastic mover and can multiply your account several times to the upside BUT don't be fooled, it can do the same to the downside and make you cry. It has wiped me out a few times and given me lots of sleepness nights!

    The trick with the DAX is knowing when NOT to trade and completely stay out of the markets. As such, it's best to use an indicator that filters out the noise and lets you know when NOT to trade.

    Would you happen to know where I can find very good NOISE FILTERS? Please share the link if known.

    Thanks NewDigital

    And there is updated template for this system with same indicators + IchimokuSystem_v1.4 600+ indicator from this post, with updated template from this post. And Dax M5 chart with default Ichimoku settings will look like that:

    Tenkan Kijun Senkou Span Trading system-dax-30-m5-gci-financial-4.png

    And this is the same new template with 72/144/288 settings:

    This may be IchimokuSystem_v1.4 600+ indicator (see my revious post): red color in separate window is for sell confirmation, blue color is for buy. Besides, this indicator may be turned to some other Ichimoku signals for example: ArrowsMode: 0-off,1-Price/SpanB,2-Chinkou/Tenkan&Kijun,3-SpanA/SpanB.

    But I never traded Dax so ...
