Hi TIMisthebest,
The idea of Ichimoku indicator is mostly related to the market condition. Some analytics are taking about Sinkou Span A to be a virtual border berween bearish and bullish on the chart, some of them are deciding for Sinkou Span B line to be a virtual border (Sinkou Span A and Sinkou Span B are the border of Ichimoku cloud - just move the mouse to any line of Ichimoku indicator - and you will see the name of this line).
Name of Ichimoku cloud is kumo (just a term).
But what all analytics agreed is the following: if the price is above Ichimoku cloud/kumo so it is bullish market condition, if below so it is bearish, if the price is inside kumo so it is ranging or flat (depends on the width of kumo).
All the lines of Ichimoku indicator is something about Moving Averages indicator shifted (some of them). We know that MA (or EMA) indicator can be s/r for traders ... but it is not s/r related to price action - it is MA s/r anyway (or some kind of digital filters' s/r).
To have s/r related to pure price action - I am using MaksiGen_Range_Move.
The combination of Ichimoku and MaksiGen_Range_Move can provide very good technical forecasting.
All my trading miorning is started with the analysis of Ichimoku together price action s/r.
