This is the term - "Holy Grail in forex". It is well-known term, and such the threads exist on many forex forums.

Some people believe in magical indicator/EA which can produce the profit with no losses ... but many traders do not believe in it. So, basicly - it may be good discussion about it.

Why to joke section? There are many people who believe (and they are having the hope) that magic indicators/EAs are existing in the word. How can I mobe the hope to jokes section?

Are you talking about "karl ditman" and other russians who were selling free indicators (this case was described on fpa)?
We do not have commercial section on the forum so - no one will sell. If we will have commercial section so it will come with evaluation section as well, and everyone will be able to evaluate.

i loss some bucks chasing this same solar wind or unholy grail , it hurts so bad each time i remember it bcos the amount was reasonable when put together. talking thousands not hundreds.

making available for others to try will effeminately cause some more heart attack and high blood pressure . please move it to jokes section or highlight the topic with red to signal danger to the discerning mind

if we prohibit some topic so it does not mean that it will stop exiting in the world.

I think the best way is to educate the traders.

I may propose the following new name of this thread: "Joking Aside - One More Holy Grail".

To say it seriously - if we name this thread to be something as ""Joking - One More Holy Grail" so the traders will not stop using "holy grails" in forex. I think - the only idea to improve this situaion is the following:

• traders should not use anything which is advertising in the internet (and they should stop believing in it)
• sellers should stop telling lies

Holy Grail Syndrome sufferers look for something that will give them a signal to trade rather than learning how to trade. They look for magic systems (advertised everywhere) that will make money for them every day. They look for automated trading robots to make money for them “while they sleep” and other such nonsense.

They have unrealistic expectations and want to make millions with a starting capital of just $100. They are fodder for the professional “gurus” who will just take their money. Please don’t be one of these Holy Grail seekers; learn how to trade.

Forex trading is a profession and like any profession it can be learned with hard work, time and dedication. This business could change your life if you take it seriously and be professional. Amateur traders turn into professional traders when they stop looking for the “next great technical indicator or system” and start controlling their risk on each trade.

My suggestion is that you swap your TV time for trading time for the next three months. Once you taste success (financial and emotional), you will find it easy to devote the time and energy necessary to reach your trading goals.

In attachment is an indicator that gives a notification when price is at an amount of pips from
a specific moving average but this indicator doesn't work anymore for MT4 600+.
Can someone of you make it work for the current version of MT4?

Coders can modify source code (mq4) only sorry
