It depends on the strategy/system.
I like standard indicators (stochastics and so on).

The Labtrend would be a good option?

Yes, may be labtrend/asctrend/braintrend, or BBands_Stop_v3.1 600+ indicator (this post), or PriceChannel_Stop_v9.2 600+ indicator (this post). You can look at this wiki thread to find something.

By the way, Moving Averages (MA, or SMA, or EMA) are universal trend following indicator for example. So, you can look at this post for AllAverages indicator and variations.
