It is strange indeed. The author of the book attached talks us that there is a little difference between VWMA and VAMA. See pages 5-8 for reference.

    Book is [Andrew_Coles,_David_G._Hawkins(auth.)]_MIDAS_Tech(BookZZ.org).
Could not upload as the file is 12 Mb.

I found more information about the VAMA(see the attached article) and it looks like the cumulative curve.

    AllAverages-2015-05-14_19h48_55.pngAnd one more.
Igor, can you please add adjustable (on color, style) option.
This option (on/off) is to be a line beginning at the end of any MA and ending at the price axis.
    An example is attached.
This function is importand when one shifts MA backwards.

this is not a bug, because we usually set the start of the indicator drawing within the initialization. But we can place the SetIndexDrawBegin function in the main cycle and this gives us ability to see only N last bars all time.

So please check out the version 3.4 with such option.

    Regards,
    Igor
    Works lovely - Thanks

    Hi LearnAlways,

All is possible but I need to have the Quad MA formula first.

    Igor

    Hi Igorad,

Pls pardon me for my ignorance, I thought Triple EMA is (MA of MA of MA) 3 times therefore Quad MA = (MA of MA of MA of MA) 4 times ??? Pls feel free to correct me.

    Thanks & Best Regards,

    Ok, I understood. It's so-called quadruple smoothed EMA = EMA(EMA(EMA(EMA))).
But do you know something about the UniEMA(developed by me) which you can find in our Premium Forum. The UniEMA allows to build any kind of the EMA-based curve: Double, Triple, Quadruple, Pentuple, Sextuple etc and their combinations (eg.T3 by Tilson).

    Regards,
    Igor

    Hi Igorad,

I didn't know about that, actually I was hesitating to become a premium member for some time now. Because it is a recurring fee unlike james16 after 1 year or strats trading it is free for lifetime membership after that. I might give myself a further thought and signed for premium membership now that I know about this, there's another question I would like to enquire so the premium membership means access to more refined indicators and EAs, is it possible to request to code some other indicators or EA & stuff.

    Thanks & Best Regards,
    LearnAlways
