I have been back testing all averages crossover trader and found that it opens many orders when crossover do not occur. It mainly happens when fast MA period is very low, but i would like to use this kind of setting. Any suggestions to correct this?

I checked indicator behavior when back-testing all averages crossover trader. As far I understood, expert advisor opens order when detects that fast MA value is lower or higher than slow MA value compared to previous period. If TP or SL reached during same period (candle) EA will open order again. This EA behavior distort back-testing results, because I can't avoid trading news release time. I wonder how EA would improve its results if only one order opening per period would be allowed. Maybe expanding restriction to several periods would lessen open orders in flat trend.

Would be nice if moderators tell their opinion.

Anyway - I reported about it to the coder (Igorad) and hope he may express some opinion or will come with some improvements for example.

Hi Aizen,

Please check out the updated AllAveragesCrossoverTrader EA which uses the new set of MAs and it will avoid opening multiple orders on the same bar.
