UK home prices increased at the fastest pace in almost seven years in July as government measures to stimulate the housing market attracted more buyers, a survey by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) showed Tuesday. Sentiment among Australian consumers climbed to a five-month high in August, boosted by a quarter-point reduction in the central bank's key interest rate earlier this month, a survey by Westpac and the Melbourne Institute showed Wednesday.
