When you think of voice search functionalities on a TV remote, the primary use that likely comes to mind is bypassing the slow, awkward process of typing a title into your search bar.
With the Chromecast with Google TV, you can do a lot more than that. The Chromecast's version of the Google Assistant combines the convenience of voice commands with the skill of Google's search functionality on your TV screen.

Sony Unveils DualSense Edge Wireless Controller

It’s always nice when a company listens to its customers. PlayStation 5 users have been asking for a pro-level controller ever since the console hit shelves, and according to Sony’s latest announcement, their prayers have finally been answered. In a blog post published Tuesday, Sony debuted the DualSense Edge, a customizable PS5 controller designed to let users “craft [their] own unique gaming experience.” Its controls are ultra-customizable: Users will be able to reduce or increase the dead zone (the amount a controller must be moved before the action is recognized in-game) on each trigger as well as adjust the triggers’ travel distance. Remapping and deactivating individual button controls is fair game, as is adjusting stick sensitivity.

Nvidia CEO Hints RTX 40-Series Launch in September

Nvidia announced the results from its second fiscal quarter this week. Though it was a rough period for team green financially, CEO Jensen Huang noted things will turn around soon as it prepares to launch its next-gen architecture. Huang teased a big announcement by saying he’ll have some exciting news at GTC in September, where he will be delivering the keynote address. It’s widely anticipated that he will reveal the RTX 4090 at the conference.

Images Leak of Logitech’s Cloud Gaming Handheld

Logitech announced several weeks ago that it was betting on the future of cloud gaming with a new handheld that supports Xbox Cloud Gaming and GeForce Now. While Logitech gave the impression the device was still in the early stages, you won’t have to wait to get a peek — the Logitech G Gaming Handheld has leaked in all its glory. And it seems to have less of a cloud focus than expected. The leaked images come courtesy of @evleaks on Twitter. He posted the images of the game machine on Monday evening, and Logitech filed a DMCA takedown just a few hours later. You can’t erase anything from the internet, though. That’s as good as confirming the pics are legitimate, so this is probably very close to the hardware Logitech will eventually release.

Intel Confirms Raptor Lake Launch to Include 6 CPUs

Intel is on the cusp of launching its 13th Generation Raptor Lake CPUs. These chips are an evolution of its Alder Lake architecture, with more efficiency cores, higher clocks, and other mild upgrades—the sort of “tock” refinement of a technology we’ve seen in previous years. As the company prepares to launch, it’s begun training its sales staff with new talking points for Raptor Lake. This obviously involves a lot of Powerpoint, along with conference calls with global sales teams. The folks over at Igor’s Lab have gotten ahold of Intel’s sales deck, allowing us to see its “go to market” strategy for Raptor Lake. Overall there’s nothing too surprising here, but it does show us what Intel considers the defining features of the new platform.

Meta’s Unreleased Project Cambria Headset Allegedly Found in Hotel Room

Meta is expected to unveil the much-anticipated Project Cambria headset next month, but there’s not as much mystery now. Someone reportedly left the upcoming Quest 2 successor in a hotel room, which is only slightly worse than leaving it in a bar, a la the iPhone 4. Some images and videos of the device have now been shared online, showing off the new “Meta Quest Pro” branding.

New Video Gives Us One More Reason to Never Buy a Used Mining GPU

For the last several years, it’s been almost impossible to get a decent GPU without spending three or four times the MSRP, but thankfully, things are changing. You can even get video cards at a discount now if you don’t mind rolling the dice with a used one, but maybe you want to think twice about that. A new video making the rounds purports to show Vietnamese crypto miners preparing used GPUs for resale by blasting them with a pressure washer.

Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition GPU: Lots of Potential, and Caveats

The day we have all been waiting for has finally arrived. The review embargo for Intel’s A7-series GPUs has lifted, and its strengths and shortcomings are exposed for all to see. As expected, it’s a mercurial product that shows glimmers of hope alongside weird bugs and inconsistent behavior. This is not exactly shocking for a brand-new GPU architecture, but curious upgraders should tread carefully. Our sister site PCMag received the flagship GPU for testing: the Arc A770 Limited Edition. Note the A770 will be offered in both 8GB and 16GB versions. However, the one Intel makes will be the 16GB version. Also, it won’t be “limited” much, according to Intel. It will be producing the $349 GPUs for the foreseeable future, as opposed to a small batch. Notably, there are no partner boards at launch, which will cost $20 less and feature 8GB of RAM. With Intel’s board having twice as much memory for a tiny bit more cash, we can see why no partners have been announced as it’s a terrible value.
