    U.S. Service Sector Grows At Slightly Faster Than Expected Rate

    Growth in the U.S. service sector accelerated slightly more than expected in the month of March, according to a report released by the Institute for Supply Management on Tuesday.The ISM said its non-manufacturing index climbed to 54.5 in March from 53.4 in February.

    U.S. Weekly Jobless Claims Pull Back To 267,000

    First-time claims for U.S. unemployment benefits fell by more than expected in the week ended April 2nd, according to a report released by the Labor Department on Thursday. The report said initial jobless claims fell to 267,000, a decrease of 9,000 from the previous week's unrevised level of 276,000.
