As I understand - the updates should be downloaded from the first post of this thread - this post #1

Yes, it works with new versions:

It is for Metatrader 5 -

This calendar indicator (it may be downloaded from the first page of the thread) is working fine for me.

    It is Metatrader 4:

hi. does this indicator download the data into a single csv format?

Is it possible to download other countries? e.g. http://bit.ly/investing-com_ec

    What about historical data?

The indicator is loaded csv every week. This file is related to investing.com (it means - this file was made by investing.com for the countries they want to see on the file).
Indicator is placed this file in files/folder of Metatrader's directory to use it (every week).

That is why - we can see some news on their webpage, but we can not see some news events on their csv file.

As to historical data ... for backtesting?
It is better to use NewsTrader EA for backtesting the news events (there is NewsTrader EA on the forum).

    .....
So the file is downloaded only once a week only, or is it overwritten every day or every x hours? Sometimes the events change, even in the middle of the week?

Also, is the data scraped (parsed from webpage) or is it already in csv format from investing.com, you just download csv file? I never see csv download option on their site.

You can adjust the countries they include if you adjust filter settings (see http://bit.ly/investing-com_ec )

You are saying you only download whatever the default countries are presented?

The file is updated all the time (especially - when you attach indicator to the chart.
But I do not remember the periodicity now sorry.

The data is loaded using csv format from investing.com.

I am using the countries they included in csv file, besides - I can use filter (to filter the countries) in the calendar indicator.

    ------------------

You can check the indicator to see it by yourself.
