I think - this indicator is related to some strategy because I looked inside the code - and there is some kind of master timeframe.
This is quote from the author/coder:

This one shows the trend of the chosen Tf on any smaller Tf.
So, if you set Tf=60; you won't see it on H1 charts, but you will
see it on M30, M15, M5 & M1 charts.
