    Time Range Breakout

Help write trading rules for a new system

    Time Range Breakout-2013-04-30_1153.jpg

I was following a thread on another forum and they move the thread to the paying member part of the forum.
Let’s see if we can use any of the info to in prove systems.
Here is a copy or the first message .
Help write trading rules for a new system
I have attached a chart for today with 2 EMA's, a QQE and MACD. The green horizontal line represents price action at New York midnight and the pink line represents the daily time start of 1700 New York time. I would like everyone's input on writing a set of rules for trading this using only the indicators shown. None may be added. The goal is 90% success with a 10 pip net take profit per trade. You must stick with the 15 minute chart but other currency pairs are OK. After the 10 pip profit you might consider a trailer.
    Good luck

    1. Here is the 2nd post I saved

    Really interesting.

    Time Range Breakout-test-system.jpg

    I will try:

We are waiting a break of the green for buy or pink line for sell. The candle must be closed.

If we break the green line, the Macd-Osma are green, qqe clear above 50 and EMA just crosse, we can BUY.

If we break the pink line, the Macd-Osma are red, qqe clear below 50 and EMA just crosse, we can SELL.

TP 10 pips, SL just at the bellow the last candle or the last Arrow.

Of course we must trade only with London or New-York open.

Than you iqofgenius for this interesting test.

The first indicator is the (Commodity Channel Index) set at 24
The 2nd indicator is Macd-OsMA default settings.
    The 2 moving averages EMA 2 and16.
The Commodity Channel index has replace QQE which was in the picture in post #2 because it is not a standard indicator.
Take profit of 10 pips. Stop lost I am not sure but I think we are looking at 15 or 20 pips.
    Trade the 15 minute chart.
I have all so included QFF-Session Time to make it easier look back on the charts so see how this works as we only want to trade the London and New York Sessions.
    Thank you
    Barry

I like your indicators I am looking them over now.
The point of this metod is to take 10 pips which gives you 80 to 90 % accuracy.
    Thank you
    Barry

    Magenta horizontal Line

The Magenta horizontal Line starts at the close of the New York market (20:00 GMT). Only trade Long above the Magenta line and only trade short below the Magenta line. Dose some have a indicator that will draw the line automatic each day please post it.
    Thank you

    Hi Barry,

Why the New York market close at 20:00 GMT? I think it should be at 22:00 GMT(17:00 EDT).

I think that you are right. I was going off old chart from a picture.

My broker is IBFX which is GMT and most charts posted are difference than my chart.
I realty like the chart that you posted the template for.
Most of the pictures that I posted were saved off difference forum.
I am still looking for indicator that will start a line 17:00 EDT.
    Thank you
    Barry
