The filmmaker behind the Nirvana documentary Kurt and Courtney has announced plans for a new doc about Whitney Houston. Director Nick Broomfield will explore the life and times of Houston in the new film, which is being created in association with BBC2. It was also recently revealed that Bobbi Kristina Brown died of a combination of drugs and water.

A collaborator of Kendrick Lamar has revealed that the emcee may release even more of his demos from To Pimp A Butterfly. The Compton rapper shocked the hip hop world earlier this month when he released a selection of his demos from the album and titled it Untitled Unmastered.

Iggy Pop has released his collaborative record with Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age) for streaming. The release, which Pop says may be his last, is available via NPR. Pop's band on the album includes Homme, Matt Helders (drummer for the Arctic Monkeys), and QOTSA's Dean Fertita.

"The Radical Eye," a collection of modernist photography belonging to Elton John, will go on display at the Tate Modern in London, beginning November 10, 2016. The exhibit features over 150 pieces from more than 60 artists. "It is a great honor for [husband] David [Furnish] and I to lend part of our collection to Tate Modern for this ground-breaking exhibition," said John.

Dave Grohl fired the latest shot in his ongoing prank war with friend and Survivor host Jeff Probst.

"One time I made the mistake of telling Dave," Probst said. "We just met and I was trying to impress him that I knew something about rock and I said 'You know the original drummer of Queensrÿche was in a band of mine before Queensrÿche.' Since then he'll send me a little video of Queensrÿche on the radio going 'Dude your band's on!'"

Ariana Grande pulled double duty on Saturday Night Live - hosting and acting as musical guest - over the weekend, even showing off several celeb impersonations in one sketch. Grande played a shy Tidal intern, who, when the power goes off, must deliver recorded performances of several pop stars. "We already bit the Kanye and Rihanna album releases," Kenan Thompson said.

Steve Miller Band have announced a slate of North American tour dates for the summertime. The trek, beginning in Northfield, Ohio on June 17, wraps at AT&T Park in San Francisco, California on September 4. The final show will be a joint concert with fellow rock legends Santana, Doobie Brothers and Journey.
