Jefferson Airplane's Paul Kanter says that he is back to feeling normal after his recent heart attack. In a note posted on the band's official Facebook page, Kantner writes, "I am feeling quite good and semi-normal, all things considered." He adds that while recuperating at home, he's been "working primarily and quite fervently" on two books.

No Doubt will be touring several festivals this summer. The band, who headlined the Global Citizen 2015 Earth Day festival in Washington, D.C. this weekend, has slated a string of upcoming festival shows this summer. They will play the New Orleans JazzFest, the Rock in Rio USA festival, the BottleRock Festival, the Aspen Jazz Snowmass, and the KAABOO festival in Del Mar, California.

Kellie Pickler recently opened up on her upcoming reality show, tentatively titled I Love Kellie Pickler, which is set to feature her husband Kyle Jacobs. Speaking with the Boot, Kellie said her family life is nothing special. "I think that we are . . . we're whatever normal is. Nelly is making the crossover to country music. In a new interview with Billboard, Nelly's manager J. Erving of Atom Factory revealed that Nelly has left longtime label Universal and is readying a country EP called Heartland. "He's a free agent on the label side now, and is working on a country-based Heartland EP, which should be really interesting."

Sam Smith has cancelled the rest of his Australian tour after suffering a small vocal cord hemorrhage. The singer announced the news in an Instagram post, revealing that doctors had ordered him to rest for fear the condition might become more serious. "I am deeply, deeply saddened to tell my Australian fans, I have to cancel my Australian tour," wrote Smith.

Corey Taylor says that he still loves music but hates the business that goes along with it, saying in a recent interview that it was those feelings that inspired Slipknot's latest single "Killpop." Taylor told WGRD's Johnnie and Ned in Grand Rapids that the track was just mostly him venting. "I'll be honest with you, the song is my reflection on my relationship with music."

Paul McCartney has announced his first U.S. arena date of 2015. The show will take place at the Wells Fargo Arena in Philadelphia on July 21 and will mark his first stop in the city since 2010. It will not be the first U.S. show for the ex-Beatle, however, as he'll also hit the Firefly Music Festival on June 19 and Lollapalooza on July 31.

Jay Z has announced that he will perform b-sides and seldom performed tracks at a concert in New York City aimed to promote his new streaming service TIDAL. The show, set to take place on May 13, is free, but in order to win tickets, Tidal users have to submit a playlist. The show will also stream live on Tidal's website, Billboard reports.
