Microsoft has added its BIng AI chatbot to its popular SwiftKey third-party keyboard app for iOS and Android phones, giving users quick access to AI-generated answers and advice.
With the keyboard open, you need only tap the blue Bing icon above the keyboard on the left to open the submenu, and then choose whether to have Bing AI search the internet for a query or give you answers itself via a chat.

As Google gears up for next month's I/O event, the company is still playing catch-up to OpenAI's ChatGPT. ChatGPT sped past Google in releasing an AI-powered chatbot to market late last year, and Google's been fumbling to counter with something as dramatic. Bard, Google's answer to ChatGPT, has proven to be mediocre by comparison. And Bing's revamped AI search, which piggybacks off of ChatGPT, is giving Google some competition in the internet search business, seeing a nearly 16% growth.

Google is ready to open the Bard floodgates, at least to English speakers around the world. After two months of testing, access to the AI-powered chatbot no longer is gated by a waitlist.
Google announced the move at its Google I/O developer conference on Wednesday, a week after Microsoft removed the waitlist for its competing Bing chatbot. In addition to opening Bard up to people in 180 English-speaking countries and territories, it added Japanese and Korean chat abilities as part of a 40-language expansion plan.
