The Hohner Clavinet D6 keyboard is inherently funky. In the hands of R&B genius Stevie Wonder, it sounds like a robot spider that’s been turned loose after ingesting a gram of coke and two ecstasy tabs. Wonder reportedly overdubbed around six Clavinet tracks on “Superstition.” The 1972 cut remains undeniable to this day, no matter how many Caucasians dance badly to it at wedding receptions. the source

Aretha Franklin, Janis Joplin and Arcade Fire are all subjects of films set to show at the Toronto Film Festival, which begins on September 10 and runs for 11 days. Franklin's film, Amazing Grace, was shot in 1972 by Sydney Pollack to document her live double album of the same name at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles. more...
Blake Shelton closed out WE Fest 2015 on Saturday night, playing his last concert of the year. Speaking from the stage, Shelton joked, "I'm too old for this s**t . . . but because it's my last concert of the year, no rules."
