Young Hollywood's Go-To Designer Creates Two New, Must-See Katy Perry Tour Looks!
Considering Beyoncé and Peter Dundas of Pucci (and Ralph & Russo and Riccardo Tisci of Givenchy), plus Miley Cyrus and Roberto Cavalli, high-fashion designers creating tour costumes for A-Lister musical performers is a must these days. And the latest fabulous pairing? Katy Perry and Fausto Puglisi, the young Sicilian designer whose designs have been worn by Lily Collins, Bella Thorne, and, of course, Katy herself and whose work has been compared to another Italian fashion legend: Gianni Versace.
For Katy's "Prismatic World Tour," Puglisi created two new looks that the singer will ROCK when she performs "Dark Horse," "ET," "Legendary Lovers," and "I Kissed a Girl." So if you have tickets, definitely keep an eye out. Or zoom in on the sketches here:
The first features a lilac silk jersey onesie detailed with gold lamé and crystal embroidery. Keeping with the Egyptian theme: a fringed and studded gladiator skirt.
For an efficient costume change, for the second look Katy keeps the fabulous leotard but changes into a gold mesh wrap skirt that reads "Pharest of Them All" on the waistband. Oh, we love a pun. "I am so happy to be a part of this larger-than-life creative adventure. Katy is a modern pop warrior—fearless, independent and so colorful!" Fausto says. "I was inspired to reference my love for Hollywood magic and passion for freedom and self-expression to create a Cleopatra dream befitting of the Prismatic World Tour. The looks pay homage to my Mediterranean design roots and have been created by hand in Italy."
Which look do you like best? Are you planning to see Katy in concert?
