Taylor Swift stopped by Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles earlier this week where she met with the family of Lauren Murphy, a young lady who was struck in a hit-and-run in Hollywood last month. Murphy, who hails from St. Louis, had to have an emergency lobectomy to remove a portion of her brain and some of her skull to relieve pressure build-up in her head.

Kanye West posted a mysterious tweet today that read simply "June Eighteen." It is likely that the date will mark the release of his forthcoming album or a single from it. The post, which is the only one on Ye's Twitter account, having erased all previous tweets, was quickly jumped on by the rapper's nearly 9.5 million followers.

Aerosmith bass player Tom Hamilton, who had to exit the band's current tour due to a lung infection, tweeted to his fans this week, thanking them for their well wishes. "I'm under the best of care," he wrote on the micro-blogging network, adding, "and I will provide more information within the next couple of days. Thanks again for all of the love and support."

Kelly Rowland and The-Dream are teaming up for a new tour dubbed Lights Out and may be coming to a town near you this summer. The-Dream will appear on Rowland's Talk a Good Game, due out June 18, while Rowland teams with Dream on "Where Have You Been" for his album IV Play, due out May 28. "I'm so excited to hit the road with The-Dream . . ." said Rowland.

Iggy and the Stooges stopped by The Colbert Report studios to play the single "Job" from their latest effort, Ready to Die. The band also did an encore performance of "Burn," available at the Comedy Central website. In addition to the tracks, Iggy Pop sat down with Steven Colbert for a brief interview.

Mick Mars, Motley Crue guitarist, says he is "alright" after getting knocked over by a rambunctious fan at a show in Canada over the weekend. The fan rushed the stage during a performance of "Primal Scream" at Spectra Place in Estevan, Saskatchewan, in an attempt to get to frontman Vince Neil. Mars was run over in the process, and eventually the fan was subdued by security.

Mariah Carey and Miguel have released "#Beautiful," the first single from the pop diva's upcoming album. A video, directed by Joseph Kahn, is set to premiere Wednesday on American Idol. Metro.Us writes that the song features Mariah in a better place than she's been in years: "With a slinky retro guitar and a big fuzzy beat, it sounds like nothing Mimi . . ."

Bruce Springsteen has teamed up with the Dropkick Murphys on a new single to raise funds for the Boston Marathon bombing victims. The song, a re-recording of the Murphys' "Rose Tattoo," will be released via iTunes this week. "Bruce actually called us up the day of the bombing and asked what he could do to help," DM guitarist James Lynch told Springsteen fan site Backstreets.
