After getting his monkey, Mally, confiscated earlier this month by customs officials at an airport in Germany, Justin Bieber has abandoned the animal. Mally was quarantined after the Bieb brought her to the country without the proper paperwork. The Evening Standard reports that Bieber's management contacted the animal clinic where the monkey is being held.

Paul McCartney has added three Canadian dates to his upcoming North American Tour. The former Beatle will stop on July 7 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, August 12 at Investors Group Field in Winnipeg and August 14 at Mosaic Stadium at Taylor Field in Regina. It'll be McCartney's first time playing the cities of Ottawa and Regina.

Country music legend and pioneer George Jones has passed away at the age of 81. He died Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, his public relations firm said. He had been hospitalized since April 18 with fever and irregular blood pressure. Jones, nicknamed "The Possum," was the architect of some of country music's most timeless and endearing songs.

Metallica fans will have to be patient while waiting for the metal band's next album. Guitarist Kirk Hammett says that they probably won't finish it until 2014. Speaking with GulfNews, Hammett opened up on the band's plans for the near future: "That's what we're hoping would happen. Whether that's a reality, we'll see. We're recording stuff here and there . . ."

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have been confirmed for an appearance at the upcoming Dalai Lama's Environmental Summit, which goes down from May 9-11 at Maitripa College in Portland, Oregon.
