Frank Ocean's long awaited new release Blonde has debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. The album follows his debut release Channel Orange and left fans exasperated and mildly catatonic with expectation ahead of its August 20 release. John Lennon's murderer has been denied parole for the ninth time. Mark Chapman, who shot the Beatles legend in New York City on December 1, 1980, met earlier this month with a three board parole committee who has extended his prison term for at least another three years. Chapman was sentenced to 20 years to life for killing Lennon. more...
David Crosby is set to go on tour in support of his new album, Lighthouse. The tour will begin in Atlanta, Georgia on November 11 and wrap up in Ithaca, NY December 16. Crosby's new album is comprised of acoustic tunes. He has given fans a taste of the album by releasing the song, "The City." The album, Lighthouse is scheduled for release on October 21. more...
Led Zeppelin's supposed lost track "Sunshine Woman," will finally get an official release. The song has previously been available on bootlegs and various music downloading sites, however never on a legitimate Led Zeppelin release. The song is now available for fan consumption on the band's Soundcloud. Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page oversaw the release of the song. more...
Spencer Morrill, who had been fooled into thinking he had been corresponding with Katy Perry for six years has received her sympathy. Morrill had believed that he was dating the pop star. In describing his relationship with Perry, he stated, "She's awesome. Katy's funnier than I am, she's smarter than I am. I don't know how many people give her credit for that . . ." more...
