Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton will spend a portion of his summer playing bass for Thin Lizzy. The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, the Who, Bob Dylan and Neil Young are among the classic rock legends rumored to perform at a newly forming festival. Paul McCartney was joined onstage in Seattle by former Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, who helped out during the encore performance of "Helter Skelter." Novoselic and Paul both played bass and the former also added vocals. The performance came during Macca's ongoing One on One tour. Noel Gallagher has offered up his opinion on the new release from the Stone Roses. Speaking with NME, Gallagher revealed that he ran into a member of the band at the supermarket recently and got an update about the progress on their comeback release.
