Reports have confirmed that Apple will hold a press event next week where it is widely expected to announce new iMacs with Retina displays as well as new iPads and the public availability of OS X Yosemite.
Just a month ago, Apple announced its new smartphones - the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus - to great success. It sold over 10 million units in just three days and this number does not include China. The new iPhones will only go on sale in China later next week and pre-orders have already topped 4 million.
Keen to build on this momentum, it is widely expected that at the press event next week, Apple will announce new iMacs, which will boast ultra high resolution Retina displays. Rumors suggest that the new iMacs could boast resolutions beyond 4K.
It will also be interesting to see what new features the new iPads will have, especially since sales of iPads have not been so hot lately. We think that it will take more than just a nicer, sharper display and faster processors to get people excited about tablets again.
Finally, Apple is also expected to announce the public availability of OS X Yosemite at the event next week.
