    German Industrial Production Rebounds In June

    Germany's industrial production recovered in June, but the decline in output over the second quarter signals the least contribution to economic growth, leaving private spending as a source for expansion. Industrial production climbed 0.8 percent from May, when it fell by a revised 0.9 percent, data from Destatis showed Monday. This was the fastest growth in five months.

    U.S. Business Inventories Come In Flat In July

    With a drop in retail inventories offsetting an uptick in manufacturing inventories, the Commerce Department released a report on Thursday showing that total U.S. business inventories came in flat in the month of July. The report said business inventories were virtually unchanged in July after rising by 0.2 percent in June.
