Stevie Wonder will join Daft Punk and Pharrell for a performance at the upcoming Grammys. Producers did not add specifics, because, according to EP Ken Ehrlich, the details have not been hammered out yet. He did say that the performance would be "a collaborative and celebratory stage performance that honours their multi-nominated music."

Lorde has signed on to perform at the upcoming Grammy Awards. She joins an impressive lineup of artists already confirmed for appearances at the event, including Katy Perry, Robin Thicke and Kendrick Lamar. The appearance marks the 17-year-old's first at the Grammy's. It will be a busy night for Thicke, who is slated to give a jazz-infused performance.

Paul Simon will be the subject of a tribute concert at New York City's Carnegie Hall on March 31. Simon's feting will mark the 10th anny of Michael Dorf's tribute series that raises money for education programs across the U.S. Acts confirmed for the show include Steely Dan's lead guitarist Jon Herington and jazz singer Madeleine Peyroux and others.

Jim Root, guitarist for Slipknot, revealed that the band is back in the studio following the departure of drummer Joey Jordison. The ax man posted a pic to Instagram of his guitar and a mixing board. The photo included the caption #slipknot2014. The Jordison affair has not been fully explained by either the band or the drummer.

Jack White has dropped hints that a new solo record could be released soon. The guitarist used his own Third Man Records chat room to reveal news that he is finishing up work on a new solo album. In the screen-grab of the chat, White said: "I'm producing two albums this month, and finishing them." He then added: "One of them is mine."

Tim McGraw has offered a few hints on his plans for the new year to fans, and it looks like touring may be in his future. In a new video posted to YouTube, McGraw gives a preview of what's to come in 2014: "I certainly feel like that I've hit a new stride in my career. I feel like there's so much more ahead of me and like I'm sort of just looking at the horizon and it's getting bigger."

Stevie Nicks took to the small screen on a recent episode of American Horror Story: Coven. Nicks even performed Fleetwood Mac's 1975 hit "Rhiannon" in addition to providing a few shawl-twirling tips. According to Nicks, Lily Rabe, who portrays the character Misty Day, showed that she might be her biggest fan.

Rolling Stone writer Will Hermes will be in control of writing a new biography on the late Lou Reed, publisher Farrar, Straus and Giroux said. Alex Star, senior editor at Farrar, says the new book is necessary because Reed's true story has yet to be told: "Over six decades, the sound of Lou Reed's voice defined everything that's smart and streetwise . . ."

The deluxe version of Vince Gill and Paul Franklin's Bakersfield album is set for release at Cracker Barrel stores on January 27. The LP features 14 covers of Bakersfield artists including Buck Owens and Merle Haggard. "This project has been a labor of love for me and Paul," Gill says in a press release.
