"Sheryl and I met while doing some guitar pulls earlier this year and started talking about doing something together. The timing seemed right and 'Free and Easy' just came natural to us both," Allan says in a press release. "If we're near you, come on out. It's going to be a good time."

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins says that the band is getting to work on the follow-up to their 2011 release Wasting Light. He broke the news in an interview with Billboard, hinting that the new release may be a concept album of sorts. "We're getting started," Hawkins said. "We're getting our ideas together."

Lionel Richie has lent his image to a comical new beer commercial that is currently airing in Australia. The new ad, for the Tap King beer dispenser, finds Richie giving an impromptu performance from within a refrigerator. The spot begins with a man heading to the fridge for a cold one. He discovers Lionel hanging out within the fridge.

Rolling Stones fronter Mick Jagger took a shot at the Obama administration's much maligned NSA surveillance program during a Sunday night concert at Washington D.C.'s Verizon Center. "I don't think President Obama is here tonight . . . But I'm sure he's listening in," Jagger joked to the crowd, according to various reports.

Colin Greenwood, bass player for Radiohead, will be filling in for Jarvis Cocker on the latter's BBC 6 Music Sunday Service show. Beginning July 7, the bassist will take over three consecutive weekend programs. On the first installment, he'll be joined by brother and bandmate Jonny Greenwood.
