Van Morrison producer Lewis Merenstein has died at the age of 81, according to Rolling Stone. Merenstein is known for helping create some of Morrison's classic albums, such as 1968's Astral Weeks and 1970's Moondance. Ryan Hamilton Walsh was the first person to report Merenstein's passing.

The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, California will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Ramones self-titled debut album with a new exhibit entitled "Hey! Ho! Let's Go: Ramones And The Birth Of Punk." The exhibit will feature contributions from Ramones tour manager Monte Melnick, Joey Ramone's brother and Ramones' original stage manager Mickey Leigh and others.

"This is so amazing, the best Ramones collection ever," says Linda Ramone. "Gonna be a real cool time, fun for all! Gabba Gabba Hey!"

Green Day have released a new video for their single "Bang Bang," which is taken off of the band's upcoming new album Revolution Radio. Directed by Rancid's Tim Armstrong, the new clip sees the band framed for bank robbery by a group of three youngsters in Green Day masks, who then proceed to shower the crowd with the stolen cash at a Green Day gig.

Deluxe sets of Metallica's upcoming new album Hardwired . . . To Self-Destruct will feature the band performing covers of the late Ronnie James Dio, Iron Maiden and Deep Purple. Maiden's "Remember Tomorrow," Deep Purple's "When a Blind Man Cries" and Dio's "Ronnie Rising Medley."

"As we were in the 11th hour of wrapping it up, it dawned on us that we have never shared with you in any sort of cohesive 'official' manner the extensive covers we have worked on since Death Magnetic," the band wrote on its website. "While digging into the bonus options to complement the 12-song album with additional material, we realized that none of our versions of these songs from some of our favorite and most respected artists have been readily available on our very own Blackened Recordings."

Kendrick Lamar honored Snoop Dogg at the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards, according to Rap-Up.com. The "King Kunta" rapper presented Snoop with the I Am Hip-Hop honor at the awards show that took place on Saturday, September 17. "He mastered the game through tests and challenges that earned him the respect of a college professor, except his game came from the streets," said Lamar.

The 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards took place at Atlanta's Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

Neil Young has released his new song "Indian Givers" in protest of the Dakota Access Pipeline, according to Rolling Stone. Young has also released a music video of the track, which sees him singing the song while driving in his car. There are also clips of the recent protests against the pipeline.

"There's a battle raging on the sacred land / Our brothers and sisters have to take a stand," Young sings on the track. "Against us now for what we all been doing / On the sacred land there's a battle brewing."

Tyler Farr has released his new single "Our Town," according to The Boot. The country singer released preview snippets of the track on his Twitter prior to the official release. On Friday morning he also posted a message thanking his fans for all their support. "Thank you for all your support through the good and the bad. Y'all are amazing!" Farr writes in the note.

"Our Town" is Farr's eighth single. He released his second studio album, Suffer In peace, back in 2015.

T.I. is leading his group Hustle Gang out with a new mixtape. The new release, Hustle Gang Over Errrrythang consists of 16 tracks and various guest appearances. The Atlanta rappers group is comprised of B.o.B, Migos, Young Dro, Trae Tha Truth, Young Thug and Kap G. Also T.I.'s teenage son, Domani Harris features.

The album produced the singles "About the Money," "No Mediocre," "G S**t" and "Private Show."

Beck has revealed plans to release his entire back catalogue on vinyl. The release will drop one at a time starting with Odelay, Sea Change and Guero in October. The news comes at a busy time for Beck, who also recently dropped a new video for his single "Wow." Speaking with NME, he admitted trying to get Chance the Rapper to appear on the track.

Speaking of the album, Beck said, "This record has felt like a lot of freedom, as I've had time to work things out and try things. I'll go too far in one direction, then go too far in another. There were a few other ideas that have come out of making this record that are interesting and have pushed me in other directions."
