Janet Jackson has missed the cut for this year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of inductees in her first year receiving a nomination. Cheap Trick, Chicago, Deep Purple, N.W.A. and Steve Miller will all be inducted into the HOF next year, but Jackson did not receive enough votes to make it into the top five of vote getters.
