The Band Perry To Serve As Grammy Amplifier Contest Mentors
The Band Perry has signed on to serve as mentors for the 2015 Grammy Amplifier contest. The contest will whittle down 25 competitors to three finalists who will get the chance to record with a Grammy winning producer. Other top names working on the project will include jazz/soul singer Allen Stone, Ziggy Marley and Mark Ronson.

Marilyn Manson performed his song "The Beautiful People" with the teenage metal band Unlocking The Truth over the weekend. The 1990's rocker was joined by the Brooklyn band, all of whom are under the age of 16 and were not even born when "The Beautiful People" was released in 1996, for a rendition that ended with a group stage-dive into the crowd at the show, held in Bethlehem.

John Legend has declined an invite to perform at the Beverly Hills Hotel because its owner, the Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, rules a country in which homophobia is rampant. "John Legend will not be attending the . . . party . . . in light of the horrific anti-women and anti-LGBT policies approved by the hotel's owner, the Sultan of Brunei," Legend's rep explained.
