Animals Bassist Danny McCulloch Dies After Heart Attack
Danny McCulloch, bassist for the Animals in the late 1960's, has died of heart failure, his children said. Describing their father as "a giant among us," Natasha Brearley, Nina McCulloch Kent, Tara McCulloch and Alistair Temple wrote a loving tribute published today via NME.

Jamey Johnson Releases New Song 'You Can' On ITunes
Jamey Johnson has released the song "You Can" to iTunes. Jamey told Rolling Stone that the new cut has an unlikely source of inspiration. "It's kinda like a Roger Miller sound, where it's the stand-up, doghouse bass, and when the chorus hits, I told the guys, 'Go Big Band meets vaudeville,'" he explains. "Everybody plays like they've got the lead."

Thieves Steal Garth Brooks' Daughter's Truck
Garth Brooks' daughter Taylor had her pickup truck stolen on February 7, which happened to be her father's 53rd birthday. The truck, a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500, was passed down by Brooks' father to Taylor and bears Oklahoma State University and Marine stickers on it.

Win Butler of the Arcade Fire has shared a mash-up he made of the Kanye West cut "Jesus Walks" and the Beck track "Loser." "There's lots of problems with modern music, but the problems aren't Beyonce, Kanye, or Beck," Win wrote on Twitter, referring to the recent incident at the Grammys which saw Ye interrupt Beck, who had just won the Album of the Year award.
