Danny McCulloch, bassist for the Animals in the late 1960's, has died of heart failure, his children said. Describing their father as "a giant among us," Natasha Brearley, Nina McCulloch Kent, Tara McCulloch and Alistair Temple wrote a loving tribute published today via NME.

Jamey Johnson has released the song "You Can" to iTunes. Jamey told Rolling Stone that the new cut has an unlikely source of inspiration. "It's kinda like a Roger Miller sound, where it's the stand-up, doghouse bass, and when the chorus hits, I told the guys, 'Go Big Band meets vaudeville,'" he explains. "Everybody plays like they've got the lead."

BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe premiered the single and also confirmed the LP's title and release date. How Big How Blue How Beautiful serves as the follow-up to 2011's Ceremonials.

Garth Brooks' daughter Taylor had her pickup truck stolen on February 7, which happened to be her father's 53rd birthday. The truck, a 2003 GMC Sierra 1500, was passed down by Brooks' father to Taylor and bears Oklahoma State University and Marine stickers on it.

Win Butler of the Arcade Fire has shared a mash-up he made of the Kanye West cut "Jesus Walks" and the Beck track "Loser." "There's lots of problems with modern music, but the problems aren't Beyonce, Kanye, or Beck," Win wrote on Twitter, referring to the recent incident at the Grammys which saw Ye interrupt Beck, who had just won the Album of the Year award.

Kanye joined Drake for a rendition of "I Don't Like" at this weekend's NBA All-Star Weekend concert at New York's Irving Plaza and gifted him a pair of his brand new Yeezy Boosts (his first shoe with Adidas).

Blink-182's Tom DeLonge has opened up about an alleged alien encounter. The punk rocker notes that he has read over 200 books on alien encounters and tells Paper magazine about an encounter in southern Nevada. "My whole body felt like it had static electricity . . . and there's a conversation going on outside the tent. It sounded like there were about 20 people there."

Taylor Swift joined Jimmy Fallon to show odd her dance moves on a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. For the skit, Fallon and Swift were dressed as "famous Jumbotron dancers" who go to sporting events around New York and give the camera their best dance moves in order to get on the jumbotron.

Chvrches have released their cover of the Justin Timberlake song "Cry Me a River," after performing it live on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge studios Thursday morning. "Cry Me a River" was originally released by JT on his 2002 album, Justified. According to Stereogum, "Chvrches do a nice job supplying their own keyboard fantasia."
