A community board in New York City has voted against a proposal to rename the famed intersection pictured on the cover of the Beastie Boys' album Paul's Boutique. The intersection is in the Lower East Side area of Manhattan, and the proposal would have seen the intersection renamed in the group's honor.

According to drummer Chad Smith, Bruno Mars asked the Red Hot Chili Peppers to perform with him during halftime of Super Bowl XLVIII. "The Super Bowl people asked (Mars) if he would like to have a special guest, and he said, 'Yeah, I'd like to have the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I'm a big fan' - unbeknownst to us," Smith told Billboard.

Alex Kapranos Apologizes To Pharrell After Accusing Him Of Borrowing Riff
After accusing Pharrell of stealing a Franz Ferdinand riff, the band's fronter, Alex Kapranos, has apologized to the producer. On Twitter Kapranos suggested that Pharrell had borrowed the riff for a song called "Can't Rely on You" which he produced for Paloma Faith: "Hey @Pharrell - I love your tunes. If you want to borrow a riff, just ask."
