Pete Townshend has revealed plans for a live DVD dating to 1986 that features David Gilmour as a special guest. The film, titled Face the Face, features the Townshend-led supergroup the Deep End and features both his solo material as well as that by The Who.

The concert was filmed January 29, 1986 for German TV series Rockpalast at MIDEM in Cannes, France. In addition to Townshend and Gilmour it also features percussionist Jody Linscott, harmonica player Peter Hope-Evans, bassist Chucho Merchan, Who touring keyboardist John "Rabbit" Bundrick, the Kick Horns and five backing vocalists.
