IN10TION NewsReader Revival

This is 10th of April today or 10th day of Spring, and it's good time to revive this thread here.

This is famous indicator originally made by our friend IN10TION. As Bruce stopped upgrading his indicator so please find upgraded version attached.

Just follow the instructions provided by the indicator. ( message box )
Install as an indicator because this is not an EA.

Allow DLL imports on your custom indicator/Common tab


Please, do try the templates given with the IN10TION NewsReader ( test layout possibilities )

• change News.PauseBetweenUpdates(in minutes) for auto updates
• change News.Set either to 1 or 2
• change Main.Anchor.Show from false to true, it will display the anchor (red 2 cubes left top), double click-hold & drag it to the place you want to have your IN10TION NewsReader v09, view animated info how to do!
• change News.Impacts to filter news by impacts where N-Non-economic, L-low Impact, M-Medium Impact, H-High Impact

First, Thank you Very much @ Igorad to bring this indicator "alive" again,..been using this for more than 2 years until the last update (v09.99p),...

but i have this City Setting issue with v09.99s which attached on first post above,..see picture below,..

As I know - the latest version is v09.99s
May be - this error is because market is closed for weekend? Did you try it when market open?

I think - indicator is not loading the news events because market is closed. You can try it on Monday, if it will not work for you - just report it on this thread.

but still won't load on pairs with suffix like EURUSD-Pro (admiral Markets Pro), EURUSD.ecn (octafx ecn),..and still have "City Setting Issue" like my post before,..

I reported to Igorad your those issues so he will look at it.

By the way - I do not have this city settings issue:

Did you check the name of the city in the settings of the indicator?
You can do the following:

• Right mouse click on the chart
• click on Indicators List (small window will be opened)
• left mouse double click on the name of indicator (the other small window will be opened)
• press "Reset"

It should help.

Woow , it's my best mt4 indicator but it's too tight to show text in my MT4 , could u fix it?

As I see there is some issue with fonts on your PC. So please try to check what font is used in your teminal. As you can see at the attached picture the news should have font Arial size 7. Also please attach indicator FontTest_v1 to the chart with FontName = Arial and FontSize = 7 and please make screenshoot and then post it here.

It's really strange for me and I'm still on build 482. Please send me your broker link and I try to check it out with this build.

I tried to another broker (forex.com) on mt4 482 build, but this IN10NTION v9.99t gave me same result too ,
it's just like left indent moved to right and have a more blank space between the left margin to begin text, also you can see the red clock is behind the text in the image below:

i captured screenshot from my netbook 10.1 inch , default resolution is 1366x768 on windows 7, and i think other things cannot be make difference for showing this indicator

Hi ijargal,

First of all, I'm glad that all is OK with the IN10TION in your PC. How did you achieve this? Where was the problem?

About Fibo levels I should say there is a problem with their calculation method: Daily Open +/- {34, 89, 144, 233, 377} pips.
This formula works good on currency pairs, but there is a problem on XAUUSD because of too small Point value.
So maybe better to use another pivot levels in this case.

Hi ijargal,

I faced a similar problem some weeks ago when displaying the dashboard of an EA on one of my machines. End of story: on this particular machine I had Windows 7 display settings scaled up to 125 %. When going back to 100% scale all was ok.

Maybe check your windows settings.

I put the ex4 in the /metatrader/experts/indicators/
And the template in
metatrader/templates
But when I choose any template nothing works

I am asking because I have same issue with Alpari NZ for example. I did not try it on IBFX. As far as I know - this indicator is wirking with no problem with AlpariUK, FinFX and FXOpen (all - 509).

As I know - Igorad is trying to fix it now ... but it is necessary to find the reason about why it is working good for one broker and not - for the other one. I hope - it will be fixed soon (by Igorad).

I don't know why but this version(build 482) works on the ActiveTrades MT4(build 509).
