Damon Albarn says that Gorillaz fans can look forward to new music from the band in 2016. A new LP would be the first since 2011's The Fall. Speaking with the Sydney Morning Herald, Damon didn't rule out the possibility of also bringing his Blur bandmates back together.

The Smashing Pumpkins have released a new single entitled "Being Beige," taken off of their forthcoming album, Monuments to an Elegy, which is due out in December. Frontman Billy Corgan says the new song, which features Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee on both drums and vocals, is about an important human emotion - love.

Neil Young will hold his first ever art exhibition next month in California. Young will be showing a selection of his watercolors at Special Deluxe, which takes place at the Robert Berman Gallery in Santa Monica, California on November 3. Young will be present at the opening. The show itself runs through the end of the month.

People with low SAT scores like to listen to Beyoncé, and people with high SAT scores enjoy listening to Radiohead, according to a software application writer by the name of Virgil Griffith.
Griffith spent the last five years mining Facebook for the most "liked" bands at 1,352 American colleges, then factoring in the average SAT scores at those institutions.
Students attending the California Institute of Technology have an average SAT score of 1520, and by looking at Facebook to determine the most popular (or — "liked") band of students at Cal Tech, Griffith concluded that Radiohead is music for smart people.
As Digital Inspiration points out, Griffith's chart reveals Sufjan Stevens, Bob Dylan, the Shins and Counting Crows to be other favorite bands of smart people.
On the flipside, Lil Wayne, Beyoncé, the Used, and gospel music comes in at the lower end of the spectrum.

Chvrches have released a new amine-themed video for their song "Under the Tide." The clip, directed by Sing J. Lee, pairs performance shots from band member Martin Doherty with anime footage, including clips of a spaceship comprised entirely of laser lights, and the band itself as made from tiny, twinkling stars.

Ashanti will star in Mutant World, a made for TV movie coming to the Syfy channel next month. The R&B singer is joined by Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy) and Holly Deveaux (Hannibal) in the apocalyptic action-drama. Coates and Deveaux lead a band of survivors, who've been living underground for ten years, following the decimation of the planet by a meteor.
