Justin Bieber Releases Video For 'Company'

Justin Bieber has released his new video for the track "Company." The track is featured on the Bieb's most recent release Purpose and was directed by the singer's personal videographer Rory Kramer. The pop icon opened up about the new single with rap-up.com saying, "Personally, I love this video because it's an honest look at my journey."
In the video Bieber is seen spending time with his friends, such as Floyd Mayweather. He's also seen, recording in the studio, rehearsing with dancers, lying in hammock, skateboarding, spending time on the beach, modeling and performing.

David Bowie Ballet To Open In Detroit

A David Bowie ballet called "Star Dust" is set to premiere on June 18 at Detroit's Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts. The piece runs about 35 minutes and features all 15 dancers in Complexion Contemporary Ballet. They will be dancing to "Space Oddity," "Changes," "Modern Love" and "Life on Mars?," as well as "Lazarus" from Blackstar.
"It's an abstraction," Dwight Rhoden of New York's Complexion Contemporary Ballet tells Billboard. "We're basically looking at honoring each song and bringing a visual concept in movement and characterization to them. So there's an interpretation going on per song, and there's a thread throughout it but not necessarily a story. I think you'll see a great love for the artist himself, and it's really paying tribute to his incredibly wide-ranging career."

Janis Joplin's Childhood Home Up For Sale

Janis Joplin's Texas childhood home is on the market for $500,000, according to the Guardian. The home, which is located in Port Arthur, is 1,300 square foot (121 sq m) with a small front porch. The lucky new homeowner who buys the house will also get a historical marker from the Texas Historical Commission and the musician's autograph, which is carved into the timbers inside.
Joplin's Porsche was also put up for auction in New York City last December and ended up selling for $1.76 million.

Hater parted ways in 1997 - Soundgarden - Debut Album

Soundgarden side project, Hater, featuring bass player Ben Shepherd and drummer Matt Cameron, plans to reissue their debut album, according to Audio Ink Radio. The band released their original self-titled album back in 1993. The reissue of the album will be available on CD, vinyl and digital formats on July 15.
Hater parted ways in 1997.

Tom Petty is already looking ahead to next year, revealing his hopes for the release of a new expanded version of his 1995 release Wildflowers followed by a subsequent tour. "I want to take the Heartbreakers and whoever else I need to reproduce every sound in a big way," he tells Rolling Stone. "That album was really about sound in a big way."
"At one point the label really just wanted to put it out as a standalone album," he says. "And then there's the point of view where they want to put both records together. There's also the point of view that wants the box set with the demos and all that. I don't see that as much fun, but other people do."

Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard stormed off the stage during a performance at Charleston, South Carolina's Volvo Car Stadium. While the band was performing their song "Soul Meets Body," Gibbard appeared to pull out his earpiece and toss them aside, along with his guitar. He continued the song until the band appeared to lose rhythm. He then knocked down his mic stand and quickly walked off stage.
According to a live report, some drunken fans in the first row were scream-singing along and trying to start a mosh pit.

Common has shared his words of support for Chance the Rapper, who recently opened up about his position on social issues. Chance is renowned for taking on social topics in his music and Common now says that more rappers should take Chance's lead. Speaking with CNN, Com said that he'd love to see a shift in the hip hop world towards greater social activism.
"I like to focus on the [artists] who do speak up," Common said. "You do have the people like the Kendrick Lamar's and the Chance [the rapper]'s who say things in their music. You have to find the people who have it engrained in them to speak up for different social issues."

The new album features crickets, frogs, crows, bees and other animals, which Young says he added as an experiment because they give off a good vibe. "The animals give off a great vibe."
Those songs rose to the top," he said. "They said who they were and we made the record."

Spirit member Mark Andes filed a lawsuit on behalf of late bandmate Randy California through California's estate in 2014, claiming that Spirit's 1968 instrumental composition "Taurus" includes a similar chord progression as Zeppelin's 1971 song.

Craig Morgan's son has reportedly gone missing following a boating accident. The accident occurred over the weekend in Tennessee and the singer's 19-year-old son reportedly capsized in a boat. Thus far it's unclear if he was wearing a floatation device at the time of the accident.
