Bassist For 3 Doors Down Faces Vehicular Homicide Charges
3 Doors Down's Todd Harrell is facing vehicular homicide charges after an accident in the Nashville area on Friday. The bassist was driving on the Interstate 40 near the Nashville suburb of Hermitage when his car struck a pickup truck on the highway and then hit a retaining wall, stopping a quarter mile away from the original crash site.

Chrissy Amphlett, lead singer of Australia's alt-rockers Divinyls, has died at the age of 53. The Age, an Aussie site, reports that Amphlett passed in New York over the weekend following a struggle with cancer. "Christine Joy Amphlett succumbed to the effects of breast cancer and multiple sclerosis, diseases she vigorously fought with exceptional bravery . . ." said her husband.

3 Doors Down have canceled their next four tour dates following the arrest of bass player Todd Harrell, who was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter after his vehicle clipped a pickup truck, sending it over an embankment and killed its driver. After failing a field sobriety test, Harrell admitted to police that he had been drinking and taking prescription painkillers.

Country Legend George Jones Dies At 81
Country music legend and pioneer George Jones has passed away at the age of 81. He died Friday at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, his public relations firm said. He had been hospitalized since April 18 with fever and irregular blood pressure. Jones, nicknamed "The Possum," was the architect of some of country music's most timeless and endearing songs.
