Kenny Ortega, the director appointed by AEG Live to capture Michael Jackson's would-be "This Is It" tour, choked up while testifying in the wrongful death suit brought by MJ's family against the concert promoter. On the stand, Ortega, reports CNN, read an e-mail he wrote days before Jacko died: "He was like a lost boy. There still may be a chance he can rise to the occasion . . ."

Elton John says he's happy to be alive after suffering a bout of appendicitis while on a European trek. Jason Bonham, the son of Led Zeppelin great John Bonham, says he's developing a hologram of his dad that he'll play with during gigs with his Led Zeppelin Experience tribute group. The stickman told Legendary Rock Interviews that he'd been working on the hologram since 2011.

Dave Matthews had to hitchhike to his own concert after getting stranded on a pre-show mountain bike ride. The DMB fronter was out riding when his tire blew, and, because he didn't bring a cell phone he simply had to wait by the road for someone to come rescue him. According to CNN, Emily Kraus and her boyfriend, were on their way to the show when they saw Matthews.

Rick Springfield has offered up his rendition of the Fleetwood Mac classic "Oh Well" in a new web video. The vid, captured as part of the AV Club's "Undercover" series, shows Springfield covering the track in a solo acoustic style. Before playing the track, Rick explained that he used to play the tune during a short-lived stint as the guitarist with Australian band Zoot.
