The double issue, for the week of May 2-9, features Minaj's Young Money boss, Lil Wayne, giving her high praise. "She's so influential and doing all the right things," he began. Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine debuted a short film called The Odyssey at her website on Thursday. Episodes from the 40 minute piece were previously released as music videos from F+TM's latest album How Big How Blue How Beautiful. Welch worked with director Vincent Haycock on the vids, which he called a "personal journey."

Cage the Elephant has released the music video for "Trouble," featuring an old west theme with a psych twist. The vid, directed by CTE fronter Matt Shultz, and first time helmer, has a top-notch pedigree. "I really wanted to make a video that was like John Wayne or a young Clint Eastwood acting in a Cocteau play . . ."

Green Day rocker Billie Joe Armstrong hit the stage with Joan Jett following the premiere of the former's film at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York earlier this month. Armstrong played two songs for the soundtrack to his new film Geezer as well as several Green Day songs. He was flanked by Green Day drummer Tre Cool for the show.

Bruce Springsteen has offered up his own personal tribute to the recently departed Prince. The Boss took on a cover of the Prince classic "Purple Rain" during a recent performance in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn over the weekend. He offered up the cover to his audience simply adding "Prince forever, thank you."

Ariana Grande and Jimmy Fallon took part in an entire lip sync conversation on Monday night's episode of The Tonight Show. The 22-year-old is sitting in her dressing room when Fallon enters singing "Ooo, ooo, it's just me myself and I," which are lyrics to G-Eazy's "Me, Myself & I." Grande responds with "Hey, hey, hey, I said hey, what's going on?"

Minnesota police have confirmed that Prince was in possession of prescription drugs at the time of his death. The rock legend was found dead in an elevator at his Paisley Park home/business compound earlier this month. Authorities have carried out a post mortem but thus far no official cause of death has been revealed.

Paul Simon has released a new single titled "Cool Papa Bell." The track is set to drop as part of Simon's new release Stranger to Stranger, which is due for release on June 3. He has previously opened up with Rolling Stone about the direction of the release. "About getting you to actually hear something in a new way . . . about making music that sounds old and new . . ."
He also adds that his new release was influenced by composer Harry Partch.

Tom Jones has reached out to fans thanking them for their condolences on the passing of his wife Lady Melinda Rose Woodward. Jones shared the note on his official website saying that it has made things easier in the wake of her passing. "A heartfelt Thank You to all who sent notes of their sympathy and support to me and my family over the last couple of weeks."
