China's NetEase Launched Contactless Recruitment

Chinese Internet company NetEase recently launched contactless recruitment and the company plans to hire 2,600 people through online resume submission, online interview, and online onboarding.
It is said that 73 new employees have joined NetEase by remote contactless onboarding since Chinese New Year.
The 2,600 positions opened by the company cover functions like technology, product, market and sales in several major businesses, including gaming, Youdao, cloud music, and e-commerce.

Citrix Appointed Kathy Chen As Global VP
Citrix recently announced to appoint Kathy Chen as its new global vice president, leading partnership business in Asia Pacific and Japan.
Chen will report to Citrix's global partnership sales senior vice president Bronwyn Hastings.
At the same time, the company appointed Yu Fang as regional vice president and general manager of Greater China. Yu will report to Colin Brookes, sales and service vice president of Citrix APJ.
It is said that Chen has extensive experience in cross-region business and strategic channel development. She will be responsible for Citrix's partnership eco-system and monitor the company's channel business growth in APJ to create value for local partners. Chen previously worked for Twitter, Microsoft, Cisco, and 3Com. She joined Citrix as global vice president and general manager of Greater China in 2017.

OnePlus To Invest USD30 Million In 5G Development

To prepare for the 5G era, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus will invest nearly USD30 million to improve its 5G research and development lab.
It is said that the investment will be used to develop RF circuits, antennas and multimedia technologies.
OnePlus was established by Liu Zuohu. Over the past few years, OnePlus maintained a stable growth in the global smartphone competition and gained a seat in the high-end smartphone market.
Liu said that 5G is the top priority of its product strategy. The company has been investing in 5G for many years and they plan to further develop application solutions basing on daily user habits.

ZTE Operating Revenue Up 6.1% In 2019

Chinese telecom device maker ZTE published its annual report for 2019.
From January to December 2019, ZTE realized operating revenue of CNY90.74 billion, a year-on-year increase of 6.1%; its carrier network operating revenue was CNY66.58 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.7%; its net profit attributable to shareholders was CNY5.15 billion, a year-on-year increase of 173.7%; and its basic earnings per share were CNY1.22.
In the year of 2019, ZTE enhanced its cash flow and sales collection management and the company's net cash flow from operating activities was CNY7.45 billion, an increase of 180.8% compared with the previous year.

China Unicom Beijing Boasted One Million 5G Users

China Unicom Beijing announced that they had gained one million 5G users by April 7, 2020 and became the first China Unicom branch to have one million 5G users.
According to the report, China Unicom Beijing currently has more than 10,000 5G base stations and its outdoor 5G network has covered the entire area within the fifth ring and over 70% within the sixth ring of Beijing. Some key areas outside the sixth ring are covered as well.
As a cooperation partner of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, China Unicom Beijing is constructing 5G for various competition venues. Combining classic applications like 5G+8K HD video and 5G+ autopilot, China Unicom Beijing is enhancing 5G infrastructure construction.

Foxconn To Make Ventilators In US

According to reports in foreign media, Apple's cooperation partner Foxconn will make ventilators in the US to help the country fight coronavirus.
Omar Ishrak, CEO of Medtronic, revealed that Foxconn's plant in Wisconsin will be used to produce ventilators. Foxconn also confirmed its cooperation relationship with Medtronic in a statement; however, the company did not disclose when or where to make the ventilators.
Due to the global outbreak of Covid-19, many countries are in need of ventilators to treat critically ill patients. The cooperation of Foxconn and Medtronic covers equipment design and development. Ishrak said that they would start production in the next four to six weeks.
Since February 2020, Foxconn has been making facial masks in China. At the end of March, its subsidiary Sharp also started facial mask production in Japan.
