U.S. Homebuilder Confidence Pulls Back From 11-Month High In October
After reporting a sharp jump in U.S. homebuilder confidence in the previous month, the National Association of Home Builders released a report on Tuesday showing that homebuilder confidence has pulled back in the month of October. The report said the NAHB/Wells Fargo Housing Market Index dipped to 63 in October after jumping to an eleven-month high of 65 in September.

U.S. Housing Starts Plunge To Lowest Level In Well Over A Year
Suggesting weakness in the housing market, the Commerce Department released a report on Wednesday showing that new residential construction in the U.S. unexpectedly tumbled to its lowest level in well over a year in September. The report said housing starts plunged by 9.0 percent to an annual rate of 1.047 million.

New Home Sales Rise, But Miss Expectations
New home sales rose in September, though the increase was helped by revisions to figures from the previous month. The rate of sales came in below what economists had expected. Data released by the U.S. Department of Commerce showed that new home sales rose 3.1 percent to an annual rate of 593,000. Economists had expected a rate of 601,000.

New orders for U.S. manufactured durable goods unexpectedly edged lower in the month of September, the Commerce Department revealed in a report released on Thursday. The Commerce Department said durable goods orders dipped by 0.1 percent in September after rising by a revised 0.3 percent in August.

Pending home sales in the U.S. saw a significant rebound in the month of September, according to a report released by the National Association of Realtors on Thursday. NAR said its pending home sales index jumped by 1.5 percent to 110.0 in September after tumbling by 2.5 percent to a revised 108.4 in August.
