There is no perfect way to test an indicator or system using historical data because past performance is no guarantee of future results. However the markets are driven by human emotion and crowd psychology.
So nobody can earn with only indicator or system.
the statistical %90 of people lose in FX. (without volume only people)

Hello Igorad, compliment for the great work - thank you.
One question: would it be possible for the indicator to incorporate a text display indicating the current status. As with this Indicator "TMA Slope"?
    Thanks for your feedback.

Sometimes I get overwhelmed by the number of indicators posted in this forum. It's difficult to know which one works best. I think it is better to stick to just one or two, tweak them until you find the one that suits your personality.

    Igor,

Can this be coded into Ninjatrader? That is my platform. My first post here, but I've admired your work on other forums. Thx, Scott

    Hi Scott,

Sorry, but I don't code for Ninjatrader yet.

Please take a look at the advanced AllAbsoluteStrength_v2 indicator which uses AllAverage_v3.1.
This indicator can be considered as an alternative to the well known RSI, Stochastic and DMI, as far as their methods of calculation based on Buyers and Sellers strengths. Despite of the enumerated indicators, the calculation is performed in points, not in a percentage. It gives a possibility to appreciate finer-grained market strengths and avoid such sufficient disadvantages as "stuck" in the strong trend for Stochastic.

In the given version of the indicator there is a possibility to build levels of Strength (Strength Level) and Weakness (Weakness Level) using three ways:

    • OverBought/OverSold levels (OverBought/OverSold),as in the RSI and Stochastic, regulated by StrengthLevel and WeaknessLevel parameters (for example, 80 and 20).
    • The channel of the standard deviations regulated by LookBackPeriod parameters and coefficients for the upper (UpperMultiplier) and lower (LowerMultiplier) bound of the channel.
    • High/Low Channel drawn on the principle of the price channel is regulated by the LookBackPeriod, StrengthLevel and WeaknessLevel parameters.

    Hello,

I concur with last SecretCode's post, an AllAbsoluteStrength version compatible with new MT4 would be great.

    Thanks in advance and regards.

Don't know if this is usefull to anyone.

I quickly coded an indicator that uses AllAbsoluteStrength for the datacrunching.
It basicly just creates arrows on the pricechart.
    Three basic arrows.
    1. When the bull and bear cross each other.
    2. When the signal cross the bear or bull.
    3. When the bull or bear return brom being above strength and below weakness.

Haven't tested the alerts and I would have wanted to have two extra indicator buffers for 3 where I don't make a difference between bulls going up or bears comming down. Feel free to try it.
