Hello everyone,

I have this alert running the newstrader:
Alert: ConvertHTMtoCSV(2016.02.21): invalid htm format!

Anyone knows about this?

I had this issue when I used old version of NewsTrader.
I am using v5.98 and no problem at all for now:

What News Calendar is best to use? This Monday DailyFx have a MEDIUM impact news happening at 04:40, the same news happening have HIGH impact at Forex Factory?

I do not know ... it depends on what (which news events) you are going to trade ... I like dailyfx calendar ...

Ok, thanks....I see that you start your MT4 a little bit before the news events...I wonder, if I don't have time to sit in front of my PC right before the news events, can I leave the PC on all day?

Yes, you can (because this is EA). But in this case - you should set your setting for the noews events which you are going to trade.
I starting MT4 10 minutes before news events - because I do not want to trade all high impacted news events.

Well, i noticed in the ea have facility to trade particular pair news...for example if you want to trade only usd news then you can make none infront of other currency and it will trade only usd news but i think there is no facility to trade only particular news and rest you can just leave and not to trade..if you want to do this then you have to start ea right before the news as you mentioned...

Hi bazze,

Just want to inform the NewsTrader is the breakout(straddle) EA which can work with any calendar file placed in any directory. So you can edit the calendar file once a week in which you can keep only most important events.

In your example you can use the attached calendar and .set files.

I am still using this template from this post.
(I just renamed new 5.99 to 5.98 for my 'internal use' and after that - I can continuing to use this template - because template is connected with the name of the EA for example) - this is 5.99 version on the chart (Retail Sales news event for today):

I renamed to use this template (because template from that old post is for 5.98 version, and because it is not easy to create new template by coping all the settings for the pairs from old template to new template ...). So, download 5.99 version to some place on PC, right mouse click - rename - and rename it to 5.98. In this case - we will have 5.99 version with 5.98 by name (and we can use template for 5.98 with this 5.99 which will still have old 5.98 name).

Dear Igor,

I tried to print at video the DSTOffset value ( include inside the indi) but I obtain null values.I noted that DSTOffset is a datetime variabile while the TimeDaylightSavings used to calculate the value is an integer.

Sorry but I don't use the DSTOffset value in the EA at all. So please show me a piece of code where this variable is used.

It is strange because I do not have this error.
May be - dailyfx website is changing the calendar html format once again ...

Let's check tomorrow - if you will see this error tomorrow so post it here, and I will inform Igorad for possible improvement for example.

I am using it on Asus tablet (windows 8.1) - no error.

You can check DEP
VPS: my Computer - Properties (right mouse click) - Advanced ... and exclude MT4 terminal.exe from DEP (or disable DEP)
But I am not sure that it will help (it helped me with some news calendar indicator some year ago).

Hi w45,

First, I hope the Allow DLL imports was checked in the properties. If this does not help then there can be a problem with wininet.dll on your VPS.
