Flashback: Nirvana Film Music Video in Empty Radio Shack

Nearly thirty years after it was recorded, a video of Nirvana attempting to film a music video in an empty Aberdeen, Washington Radio Shack has surfaced.

The footage was filmed on January 24, 1988, one day after the band recorded a demo with Jack Endino. Then known as "Ted Ed Fred," this early version of Nirvana featured Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and the Melvins' Dale Crover. According to Mike Ziegler, who uploaded the nearly 20 minute clip, Dana Bong and another unknown party filmed the band with their instruments unplugged in the temporarily closed Radio Shack location in Cobain's hometown.

Photographer Sues Kylie, Kendall Jenner Over Tupac T-Shirt Image

The photographer who shot the Tupac Shakur portraits that Kendall and Kylie Jenner used for their controversial "vintage" T-shirt line has sued the reality TV stars for copyright infringement.

Notorious B.I.G.'s Mom Slams Kendall, Kylie Jenner's 'Disgusting' T-Shirts Youngest members of Kardashian-Jenner clan are under fire for plastering their faces over rap and rock icons

The shirts were briefly on sale before an onslaught of criticism over the clothing – which also jacked trademarked images from Led Zeppelin, the Notorious B.I.G., Pink Floyd, Ozzy Osbourne, the Doors and more – were pulled.
Miller's lawsuit added that the photographer was never notified that the Jenners "intended to exploit his photography, let alone obtain his authorization." The lawsuit also mentioned that Miller didn't want to be associated with Kendall in particular following the model's minor role in the Fyre Festival disaster as well as*infamous Pepsi ad, which the lawsuit called "public relations disasters."

    Hear the War on Drugs

The War on Drugs delivered a celestial new slow-burner "Strangest Thing" from their upcoming album, A Deeper Understanding, out August 25th.

The nearly-seven-minute tune boasts a steady rock groove tinged with airy country vibes and spacey synths, while its also marked distinctly by a gargantuan guitar solo. Singer Adam Granduciel presides over the track with a Dylan-esque vocal performance, singing in an acrid croon, "I recognize every face but I ain't got everything I need/ If I'm just moving in the space between the beauty and the pain/ It's the strangest thing."

Blink-182 announced that their "Welcome to Blinkin Park" co-headlining tour with Linkin Park is cancelled following the death of Chester Bennington.

"Blink-182 is wrecked by the loss of our friend and amazing musician Chester Bennington. We could never imagine playing 'Blinkin Park' without his incredible talent and voice. It just would not be possible," the band said in a statement early Saturday.

"We send our deepest sympathies to his family, bandmates, friends and fans. Refunds will be available at the point of purchase."

    U2 closed their Paris concert

U2 closed their Paris concert on Tuesday by bringing out Patti Smith for a moving performance of "Mothers of the Disappeared." Bono and Smith trade lead vocals, with the latter interpolating lyrics from her 1988 single, "People Have the Power."

"I was dreaming in my dreaming/ of an aspect bright and fair," Smith recited over the Edge's skyrocketing guitar tone and Bono's yelp. "And my sleeping it was broken/ But my dream it lingered near." The singers embraced onstage after finishing the set.

"I would just like to briefly say that trans people are not disturbances"

Arcade Fire spoke out against Donald Trump's efforts to ban transgender Americans from the military during the band's Thursday night gig in Brooklyn, a show that was live streamed on Apple Music.

"I would just like to briefly say that trans people are not disturbances," singer Win Butler told the crowd. "Usually a bully starts with someone who he thinks is weak, but it's the fucking wrong call."

Ryan Adams Rips the Strokes in Twitter Rant

Ryan Adams unleashed a series of tweets mocking the Strokes Monday, two months after the band detailed the rift between them and the singer-songwriter.

In the book Meet Me in the Bathroom, a look at NYC indie rock in the early 2000s, Adams is painted as a "bad influence" for the Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr.

"Ryan would always come and wake me at two in the morning and have drugs, so I'd just do the drugs and kind of numb out,” Hammond said in the oral history. "I knew I would shoot up drugs from a very young age. I'd been wanting to do heroin since I was 14 years old."

One of four new songs the Oakland rapper released

G-Eazy teams with Jadakiss for his atmospheric new single, "Get a Bag," one of four new songs the Oakland rapper released Thursday.

The MCs alternate between career boasts, religious pleas and familial praise on the lush track.

"My number one is making sure that mom's straight/ My whole family eating off of this plate," G-Eazy rhymes over Remo the Hitmaker's chiming synth arpeggio and digital choir. "Death is a guarantee, that's for certain," Jadakiss adds in his verse. "Faith in the god, but the devil won't stop lurkin'."
