Summer Moon, the new venture from the Strokes bassist Nikolai Fraiture, have released a new song entitled "With You Tonight." The band, a "supergroup" of sorts, features Au Revoir Simone's Erika Spring, the Like's Tennessee Thomas and guitarist Lewis Lazar, made their live debut in December 2014 and will play New York's Bowery Ballroom.

Damon Albarn has confirmed plans to work on a new Gorillaz album in September. Now that Blur have released their long awaited comeback album, The Magic Whip, Albarn said that its time to turn his attention back to his collaboration between Albarn and animator Jamie Hewlett.

Dolly Parton surprised the young actress Alyvia Lind with the exciting news that she'd been selected to play her in the upcoming made for TV movie Coat of Many Colors. The special moment was caught on video, with Dolly saying, "What we're really here to do is to announce that you have been chosen to play little Dolly in the movie."

Nirvana and Foo Fighters have garnered themselves a couple of Emmy nominations. They have been nominated for the Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck documentary and the Sonic Highways series, respectively. HBO's Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck gave a closer look at the late Nirvana singer's life via his own audio and film recordings.

Nicki Minaj has become the latest musician to use a dating app as a promotional tool, as she has used the gay dating app Grindr to push her new Pinkprint tour. As Billboard reports, Minaj took out an ad on Grindr telling users "it kicks off tomorrow. Can't wait to see you all there!" Meek Mill, Tinashe, Rae Sremmurd and Dej Loaf are support acts.

Bruce Springsteen gave fans a special treat over the weekend when he appeared for an impromptu concert near his hometown of Asbury Park, New Jersey. The Boss turned up at the Wonder Bar venue in Asbury Park at around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday night and played for over two hours. Springsteen appeared as a special guest to local favorite Joe Grushecky.

The topic of the song sees Henley and McBride as separated lovers considering getting back together. Mumford & Sons have a fan in classic rocker Alice Cooper, who says that, despite his previous criticisms, he thinks the band's latest album is a major improvement. Coop previously criticized the band as "wimpy rock." Now he's changing his mind. "You hear the new album? It rocks!" Cooper told NME. "Absolutely electric rock 'n' roll. They came up with a rock 'n' roll album . . ."

Clint Black has announced that he has signed a new record deal with Thirty Tigers and is working on his first record in nearly a decade.
