The upward trajectory continues this week or Korean pop septet BTS, who have hit new commercial heights in the United States seemingly every year since their official 2013 debut.

Map of the Soul: 7, their latest full-length release, bows at No. 1 this week on the Billboard 200 albums chart, having moved 422,000 equivalent album units in its opening frame. The staggering number for the 20-track set -- which includes five tracks previously found on the Map of the Soul: Persona EP, also a chart-topper for the phenoms last year -- is not only a career high for BTS, but the best first-week numbers for any artist thus far in 2020. Meanwhile, the group also scores their highest peak yet on the Billboard Hot 100, with the No. 4 debut of 7 single "ON."

Travis Scott and Young Thug unveiled a music video on Friday (March 20) for their hit "Out West," and it's one big party.

Travis co-directed the video alongside White Trash Tyler, and shows a wild, twerk-filled house party with Young Thug rapping above the crowd. The scene heads to the bathroom, where the viewer finds a girl passed out by the toilet and the legendary Quincy Jones splashing his face with water.

Jones makes a second appearance at the end, leaving the bash munching on a sandwich.
"Out West" has been a viral dance song on TikTok recently, and is featured on Jackboys' Billboard 200 chart topping debut album.

Songs from the group's '2 Cool 4 Skool' album make their chart debut almost seven years after their release.

BTS' A.R.M.Y. fans are such an undeniable force that even their pranks can create a major impact.
Ahead of April Fools' Day 2020, fans across social media began anticipating the "debut" of a "new" boy band called BTS coming on April 1. While it was a joke, it was also a moment for fans to look back on the group's historic career and many took the chance to show extra love and support to the septet's actual debut album from 2013.

Originally released on June 12, 2013, BTS' first album 2 Cool 4 Skool made its debut on Billboard's World Albums chart this week at No. 12 nearly seven years after release. The record sold 1,000 equivalent album units in the week ending April 2, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. To date, 2 Cool 4 Skool has earned 68,000 units in America.

In his new video, the rapper flaunts his Midas touch by turning a lemonade stand into a big bucks business. Scuffles with police and thieves later, DaBaby and his daughter are seen in the kitchen of their fancy home, making treats and holding wads of cash.

"B----, you know I turn piss into lemonade / Turn s--- into sugar, that's chocolate pudding / Let you know I don't f--- with you anyway / Know I keep getting better, you thought that I wouldn't / I'ma keep lettin' off, I'm a renegade," he boasts in the high-energy verse.

Ever since its inception, when promoters promised to preserve “old-time music,” country has been a genre built upon the past.
Whether it’s recounting childhood events in the lyrics or borrowing the phrasing and technique from its predecessors, each generation has managed to bring history into the here and now.

With “Every Other Memory,” Ryan Hurd accomplishes that in two ways as the song’s protagonist recalls an old flame through a mental scrapbook of their time together. And one of the specific images is an Eric Church concert, which pays homage to one of Hurd’s real-life icons.

Chief Keef's record label signee, Tray Savage, died on Friday (June 19), Billboard can confirm. He was 26 years old.

According to TMZ, who first reported the news, Tray (born Kentray Young) was shot and killed while driving around on the South Side of Chicago. He was rushed to the University of Chicago Medical Canter, where he was later pronounced dead.

Liam Payne has announced his livestream series, The LP Show. ‘Act 1’ of the series, which comes in the form of a livestream concert, will take place on July 17th at 3 p.m. ET via Veeps. Presale tickets will be available via Spotify beginning on Thursday, with general tickets available on Friday via Veeps.

“It’s a new approach to a livestreamed show that’ll be up close and personal like you’ve never seen before,” Payne posted on Twitter. “To produce the show, I’m working with currently out-of-use venues, a full band, as well as professional sound and lighting engineers currently out of work due to COVID-19 and I can’t wait to bring you the first in this series of live broadcasts.”

Tickets start at $10 and are available on a “pay as you want” basis. A portion of ticket proceeds will benefit The Trussell Trust, a nonprofit that supports a network of UK food banks.

For a reason that can only be described as “It’s 2020,” Nickelback have released a cover of the Charlie Daniels Band’s “The Devil Went Down to Georgia.” Ostensibly a tribute to Daniels, who died in July, everyone’s favorite (sic) Canadian rock band strips the fiddle from both the song and its narrative, transforming the protagonist Johnny from a country-bumpkin fiddle phenom into a dive-bar guitar shredder.
Which would be swell as hell if only the song’s centerpiece showdown were worth a damnation. Instead, it’s as engaging as listening to — nay, watching — two dudes play Guitar Hero.

TBS is adding a talent competition to its roster — and it's not looking for the next great singer or comedian.
The cable outlet has ordered 10 episodes of Go-Big Show, which will feature "supersized talents" including monster truck drivers, alligator trainers and stunt archers, among others. The show has begun production in Macon, Georgia; host Bert Kreischer and judges Snoop Dogg, Rosario Dawson, Jennifer Nettles and Cody Rhodes announced the series Wednesday night in a promo that aired across TBS and sister networks TNT and TruTV.

"Go-Big Show celebrates unique, untraditional and unforgettable American talent," said Corie Henson, executive vp and head of unscripted programming for TBS, TNT and TruTV. "Each contestant brings tremendous heart and swagger, which also perfectly describes Bert and our judges, a dream team of larger-than-life talent."
