EA announced it’s remaking the original Dead Space

EA announced it’s remaking the original Dead Space. I’ve actually been playing Dead Space 2 (again) in the last few weeks, so this unveil feels quite timely. The game is being developed by Motive Games, though information on the project is currently limited.

Star Wars: The Jedi are the heroes of the High Republic

Penguin Random House Star Wars: The High Republic kicked off in January, bringing us, through novels and comics, new tales of Jedi heroism that took place more than 200 years before the events of The Phantom Menace. The second wave of stories is rolling out over the summer months, with Cavan Scott's The Rising Storm revealing a major attack on the Republic by cruel space pirates the Nihil.

Justina Ireland's Out of the Shadows, which hit shelves Tuesday, picks up in the aftermath of that attack as our Force-wielding heroes try to figure out how to deal with Nihil. We also spend some time with the baddies, led by the murderous and mysterious Marchion Ro, in an early scene you can read in CNET's exclusive excerpt.

    iPhone 13 review

This story is part of Apple Event, our full coverage of the latest news from Apple. The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini received a number of significant upgrades including new cameras, a bigger battery, more storage and a brighter screen. The iPhone 13 is a delightful upgrade to last year's already wonderful iPhone 12 family. Some will be disappointed because it's not radically different from previous models, but that's actually part of the charm. Familiarity has been one of the keys to Apple's success with the iPhone, and the iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are those same reliable friends that seemingly never change.
The iPhone 13 starts at $829 (£779, AU$1,349) and the 13 Mini at $729 (£679, AU$1,199). That's for the base model, which comes with 128GB of storage. If you buy and activate your phone on a carrier plan, that price drops by $30, and that's before adding on the impressive deals from carriers.

    Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV

    (Photo: Activision Blizzard)
Activision Blizzard is pushing out production of Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV to afford its creative teams more time to develop both games. In what looks like a presentation slide shared by Axios reporter Stephen Totilo on Twitter, Blizzard states it’s “now planning for a later launch for Overwatch 2 and Diablo IV than originally envisaged.” Though the company has reportedly made great strides in wrapping up the games, the extra time will allow its teams to “continue growing their creative resources to support the titles after launch.” Blizzard admits this will impact the financial boost it expected to see in 2022.
