China Q4 Economic Growth Eases Unexpectedly

China's Exports Fall More Than Forecast
China's exports declined more-than expected in January suggesting that the economy has not gained yet from the weaker currency. Data published by the General Administration of Customs showed that exports logged a double-digit annual decline of 11.2 percent in January, much faster than the 2.0 percent fall economists had expected, and December's 1.4 percent drop.

China Manufacturing Sector Continues To Contract
Manufacturing activity in China continued to contract in February, as output declined at the steepest pace since last September on a sharp decrease in new work. The Caixin manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index fell unexpectedly to 48 in February from 48.4 in January, survey results from Markit showed Tuesday. This was the lowest reading in five months.

Chinese Premier Sets Growth Target, Loosens Fiscal Stance
China sets growth target for 2016 and loosened the fiscal stance to alleviate its deep-rooted domestic problems amid challenging global environment. At the 12th National People's Congress in Beijing, Premier Li Keqiang said the economy is forecast to grow 6.5 to 7 percent this year and an average growth of above 6.5 percent in the next five years.
