Eurozone Unemployment Rate Steady At Record Low 6.5%

Euro area jobless rate remained unchanged at a record low in November despite the economy moving closer to a recession, official data revealed Monday. The jobless rate came in at 6.5 percent, as expected, unchanged from October, the statistical office Eurostat said. This was notably down from 7.1 percent in the same period last year.

German Business Confidence Weakens Further Signaling Long Stagnation
Business sentiment in Germany deteriorated for a third month in a row in August as companies judged their current situation as worse and turned more pessimistic regarding the outlook, survey results from the ifo Institute showed Monday. The ifo business confidence index fell to 86.6 from 87.0 in July. Economists had forecast the measure to drop to 86.0.

German Factory Orders Sink 5.8% In August
Germany's factory orders declined at a faster-than-expected pace in August. Incoming new orders contracted 5.8 percent on a monthly basis in August, reversing July's upwardly revised 3.9 percent expansion. Orders were expected to fall 1.9 percent. Further, this was the steepest decline since January. Excluding large orders, new orders dropped 3.4 percent from July.

Spain Manufacturing Grows Most Since Early 2022- PMI Survey
Spain's factory sector expanded at the fastest pace in over two-an-a-half years in October, driven by significant growth in output and new orders amid an improvement in market demand, results of the latest purchasing managers' survey by S&P Global showed on Monday. The HCOB Spain manufacturing purchasing managers' index rose to 54.5 from 53.0 in September.
